Professional background
Joshua Shaw was raised on a small beef farm in southwest Missouri, where he developed a deep appreciation for agriculture, hard work, and community. He earned his degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, and after graduation married his wife and joined her family's dairy operation, milking cows full-time and gaining valuable experience in livestock management and farm operations.
Driven by a passion for production agriculture, Joshua and his family later returned to Vernon County to establish their own beef farm. Before joining his current position, he spent nine years with MFA, working closely with farmers and ranchers across the region. In that role, he provided guidance and support on a wide range of agricultural needs, including livestock production, crop management, farm planning, input selection, and overall farm profitability.
With a lifetime of hands-on agricultural experience and a strong commitment to serving rural communities, Joshua brings practical knowledge, industry expertise, and a producer-focused perspective to his work. He enjoys helping farmers solve challenges, improve their operations, and ensure the long-term success of agriculture in Missouri.
