Eric Jackson is an educational leader. He has worked as both a youth and adult educator, as the director of the education department for a non-profit, and as both staff supervisor and volunteer manager for over 14 years. More recently, Eric served as a 4-H Youth Specialist for University of Missouri Extension, working closely with volunteer leaders across three counties. As a 4-H Specialist, Eric continued his role as youth and adult educator, and assumed a larger role in volunteer development and management in three counties. During his career, he has developed and delivered classes and workshops to youth, adults and professional educators. He has presented at a national conference for youth educators, as well as taught credit courses to education professionals. In each role, Eric collaborated with professionals to develop and deliver training to volunteers and the staff who manage them.Eric serves as consultant to Extension Administration, Program Leaders, Regional Directors, state and county faculty and staff around matters of risk and volunteer management policies, provides guidance and resources for volunteer development within MU Extension programs, and maintains a consistent framework for MU Extension risk management of off-campus operations and volunteer-led programs.
