University of Missouri Extension is offering two Small Dairy Herd Management workshops: March 7 in Douglas County and March 21 in Christian County.
“Have you thought about having your own dairy cow, or starting a small herd for your family, but you’re not sure where to start? This in-person workshop is the perfect place to learn more,” said Chloe Collins, University of Missouri Extension field specialist in dairy. “From housing to vaccinating, breeding to milking, we will cover all the highlights of dairy cattle management on a small-scale basis in this workshop.”
Registration is $10 and includes light refreshments and take-home materials. Register online at https://extension.missouri.edu/programs/dairy-extension/events, or you can call the MU Extension center of the hosting county: 417-683-4409 for the March 7 workshop in Douglas County or 417-581-3558 for the March 21 workshop in Christian County.
