Missouri 4-H'ers elect peers to State 4-H Council
COLUMBIA, Mo. – During the 2024 State 4-H Congress, 2024-25 State 4-H Council members were elected by their peers. 4-H’ers interested in serving on the State 4-H Council completed an application and interview process in the spring. After review of the applicants, a slate was created for youths to elect their voice at the state level. Through this competitive election process, nine 4-H’ers from across the state have been elected to serve as the youth voice of the 4-H program.
“I am beyond excited to be serving as the Missouri State 4-H Council president and can’t wait to see what the future holds for Missouri 4-H,” said the newly elected Seth Engeman.
Those elected to serve on the State 4-H Council remained on campus following State 4-H Congress to complete their training. This training included lessons on land-grant history, a Mizzou scavenger hunt and a meeting with MU Vice Chancellor for Extension and Engagement Chad Higgins and Sarah Traub, MU Extension director of education and impact.
