Missouri 4-H Foundation awards 95 scholarships totaling $127,000

Published

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri 4-H Foundation will award 95 scholarships totaling $127,000 to Missouri 4-H members to help further their education and prepare them for the future.

The 2026 scholarship recipients have demonstrated exceptional leadership, community service, and academic achievement, said Rachel Augustine, senior director of advancement for University of Missouri Extension and the Missouri 4-H Foundation.

The scholarships will support students as they pursue degrees in agriculture, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, education, health sciences and many other fields, Augustine said.

“Investing in young people is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen the future of our communities and our state,” she said. “Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners, these scholarships help remove barriers to higher education and empower Missouri 4-H members to continue developing the skills, confidence, and leadership that make them ‘Beyond Ready’ for whatever comes next.”

Tim Tanner, senior program director for MU Extension’s 4-H Center for Youth Development, emphasized the lasting impact of scholarship support on young people and their futures.

“These scholarships represent far more than financial assistance,” said Tanner. “They are an investment in young leaders who have dedicated themselves to service, learning and making a difference in their communities. We are grateful to the Missouri 4-H Foundation and its donors for helping ensure these outstanding 4-H members have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and continue creating positive change throughout Missouri and beyond.”

A gift to the Missouri 4-H Foundation Scholarship Fund helps ensure more young people have the opportunity to attend college and reach their full potential. Contributions provide critical support to Missouri 4-H members as they prepare to become leaders, innovators, and engaged citizens.
