COLUMBIA, Mo. – The third annual Missouri 4-H Clover Clays Charity Shoot raised more than $19,000 to support the Missouri 4-H Foundation. The March 16 event at the Prairie Grove Shooting Sports Complex in Columbia drew teams and sponsors from across the state for a day of competition, camaraderie and philanthropy.
“The enthusiasm and generosity displayed at this event truly embody the spirit of Missouri 4-H,” said Rachel Augustine, director of the Missouri 4-H Foundation. “Every shot taken and every dollar raised helps create opportunities for young people to learn, grow and develop lifelong skills.”
A portion of the funds raised will directly support the University of Missouri Extension 4-H Shooting Sports program, which provides opportunities for youths to develop essential skills in marksmanship, responsibility and sportsmanship. The program emphasizes the ethical and safe use of firearms while fostering personal growth and leadership in young participants.
Event chair Travis Scott welcomed participants and encouraged teams to enjoy the course and make the most of the day.
Augustine said the Missouri 4-H Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s event and looks forward to building on this success in the years to come.
