University of Missouri Extension in Oregon County is offering an opportunity to tour fields of Spar Bluestem and Caucasian Bluestem at Cox Cattle Company.
Casey and Dana Cox of Cox Cattle Company will share about their management of their warm season grasses, how they established those fields, and how they use it for hay.
Haley Schwantz, MU Extension Agronomy Specialist and Elizabeth Picking, MU Extension Livestock specialist will be there to answer questions about how warm season grass varieties can work on your farm.
Water will be provided. This event is free but registration is required as parking is limited.
