Join us for this research-based program that provides a theoretical framework for Extension professionals and community partners to create a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to addressing substance use.

The waning resources and providers in rural areas, combined with a need to increase efforts to help individuals with substance use disorder (SUD) enter recovery, calls for community-based approaches that allows for community-based interventions to augment and collaborate with existing prevention, treatment and recovery support resources.

This training is available to Extension professionals and community members across the HHS Region 7 (Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri) and Extension personnel. Lodging/hotel accommodations is included; however, participants will be responsible for their other travel costs.

  • Monday, September 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
