From Stress to Success

Law enforcement and  Animal Control work is  generally considered among the most stressful of occupations.  Some basic information on identifying stress symptoms are discussed, as well as a variety of healthy and effective methods for dealing with stress.

 

Cost: $25

6:00 - 8:00 a.m. - Alaskan Time

7:00 - 9:00 a.m. - Pacific Time 

8:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Mountain Time 

9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Central Time

10:00- - 12:00 p.m. - Eastern Time 

 

The trainee will be able to:

1.         Identify what is meant by the term "stress."

2.         Identify when negative stress is likely to occur.

3.         Identify the common physical reaction to severe or sustained stress.

4.         Identify some common sources of psychological stress.

5.         Identify four psychological reactions to severe stress.

6.         Identify methods an individual can use to reduce stress.

7.         Identify methods to strengthen officer wellbeing and mental health awareness within an agency.

8.         Demonstrate effective techniques to maintain self-control in stressful and confusing circumstances
