Stories Across Generations: Youth in Conversation with Veterans and First Responders is a free, family-friendly community event hosted by MU Extension’s Veteran R.E.A.D.S. Program in partnership with Missouri 4-H. The event brings together veterans, first responders, youth, and families for intergenerational dialogue, hands-on learning, and community connection. Participants will engage in a youth-led Q&A, artifact “show and tell,” service vehicle displays (police, fire, EMS, military), and informal conversations that highlight lived experience and civic service. The event also includes information booths, community resources, games, and an ice cream social. Veterans and first responders are invited to bring vehicles, equipment, and artifacts to support interactive engagement. The event is free and open to the public.
