Description: 

Learn some key stats about the state of early child care in Missouri. Learn about any current legislative action that is happening at the state-level and other statewide initiatives to improve early child care. Learn about any current legislative action that is happening at the federal-level and how it affects Missouri. At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand current Missouri data as it relates to different stakeholders in the early child care system.
  • Understand recent legislative actions at the state-level and the federal level.  
  • Identify glimmers of hope addressing challenges for various populations of the early child care ecosystem.

This class is interactive and involves participating in small and large group discussions.

Audience

This class is open to anyone, but is highly recommended for Child Care Directors, Child Care Educators, Child Care Community Advocates, Employers. Multi-sector conversations are where the magic happens. 

Clock Hours: 

Earn 1.5 MOPD Clock Hours

Fee: 

$10 

This fee is non-refundable unless the class is canceled by MU Extension.
