MU Extension’s Veteran R.E.A.D.S. Program Welcomes Councilman Johnathan Duncan as Signature Speaker  Independence, MO: 

The University of Missouri Extension’s Veteran R.E.A.D.S. Program (VRP) is honored to host Councilman Johnathan Duncan as the featured speaker in its ongoing Signature Speaker Series. 

Councilman Duncan represents Kansas City’s 6th District and is an Army combat veteran, PTSD survivor, and former Director of Administrative Operations for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). 

A powerful voice for community healing and veteran reintegration, Duncan brings lived experience and grassroots insight to the civic table. He currently serves as a leading community organizer with KC Tenants, championing affordable housing and equitable public services.  

This free event is open to veterans, military families, community leaders, and the public. Space is limited, and registration is required.
