Small Business Certifications for Government Contracting - Virtual Workshop

- Description: This virtual seminar is an overview of the current small business socio-economic certifications in federal, local state and city government. The federal government spends over $500 billion in goods and services each year, and 23% of this spend is set aside for small businesses. With state and local activity, there are established goals to spend a certain percentage of a contract with women and minority owned businesses.

- Federal: 8(a) + HUBZone + Woman-owned Small Business (WOSB/EDWOSB) + Veteran-owned Small Business (VOSB/SDVOSB)
- Department of Transportation: Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
- State/Local: Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and Service Disabled Veteran Enterprise (SDVE)
