Join Nodaway County Economic Development and University of Missouri Extension for a one-year follow-up to the Missouri EATs initiative.

Last year, more than 50 individuals working to improve the food system in Nodaway County came together to explore opportunities for cross-sector collaboration aimed at increasing access to nutritious food for all residents. That conversation identified four priority focus areas: establishing new/additional markets for local food, farmers market expansion, community food support network, and support for beginning farmers.

Over the past year, teams aligned with each of these focus areas have been meeting to discuss ideas and take steps toward implementation. This follow-up meeting will provide an update on progress made to date and offer an opportunity for new participants to learn more and get involved in ongoing efforts to strengthen the local food system.

There is no cost to attend, and breakfast will be provided. Session will be held at the Ag Learning Center on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University.
