Register for the MAEP Explore MO Ag tour. The tour will look at MO agriculture operations in Southeast Missouri. We will meet in Jackson, MO at the MU Extension office. For those interested, BBQ lunch will be provided starting at 11:30 am at the office.

Day 1: We will be touring Scott County.

12:30 pm – Travel to Apple Ridge Orchard, Sikeston, MO
Apple Ridge Orchard grows Lavender, Tulips, and Fruit
Dean Farms – Field Crops – Peanut Production
Crawfish Crossing – Crawfish production
American Selections – Demonstration Garden at MU Extension Office
Sponsored Supper at MU Extension Office
Little River Drainage District Presentation – Drainage project that drained SE Missouri

Day 2: We will be touring Cape Girardeau County.
 
8:00 am - We will meet at the MU Extension office.
R. Aufdenberg Farms - beef operation, rotational grazing system, novel fescue and native warm season grass.
Birk Cattle – beef cattle
Weis Farms – sunn hemp inter-cropping in fescue for summer grazing and milo for deferred winter grazing
Knowlan Orchard – Apple, Cattle, Sheep/Goat
