Little Roots, Big Harvest: Homesteading Together

"Little Roots, Big Harvest: Homesteading Together" is a dynamic program that blends the timeless practices of homesteading with modern approaches to health, wellness, and safety. This program offers both virtual and in-person workshops, where participants can learn how to grow their own food, raise livestock, and live sustainably, all while following research-based practices that prioritize personal well-being and environmental care.

Through a combination of online sessions and in-person workshops (available in the summer), participants will explore essential homesteading skills like organic gardening, animal care, food preservation, and building self-sustaining systems. The program also integrates wellness practices, such as mindful cooking, natural remedies, and stress-reduction techniques, to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Safety is a top priority, and expert instructors will provide guidance on tool usage, animal handling, and food safety. Research-based methods will ensure that participants gain practical skills alongside the knowledge to live healthily and sustainably.

Details including cost for the summer in-person workshops will be released soon, but for now, join us in the virtual sessions to start cultivating your "little roots" for a big harvest. This is your chance to build a healthy, safe, and thriving homestead, whether you're joining from home or on-site!
