Houseplant propagation classes offer hands-on training to multiply your favorite indoor plants through stem cuttings, water propagation, and plant division. The workshop will provide all necessary materials, soil, and starter cuttings so you can practice these techniques and take your new plants home.

Key concepts include proper techniques for taking cuttings, plant division, and aftercare. You will learning to locate plant nodes, make clean cuts, and root stems in water, sphagnum moss, or directly into potting soil. You will get to seperate root systems to have multiple plants. Last but not least, learn tips for maintaining proper humidity, light, and soil moisture to help your cuttings thrive as they transition to regular houseplant care.

Do you have an overgrown houseplant you want to propagate and share? Feel Free to bring it to the workshop!

For questions or accommodations please contact Traven Crocker at  travencrocker@missouri.edu or 573-686-8064 at least 48 hours in advance. Thank you!
