Emerging infectious diseases have shaped and informed much of our infection prevention practices today.

The Healthcare-Associated Infections: Emerging Infectious Threats (EIT) self-paced course provides an environment where students can learn timely information by completing one, a few or all eight modules. The aim of this course is to support a culture of safety and infection control practice training and continuing education for Missouri's healthcare providers. Course participants completing all eight modules will learn the latest information and best practices on infection control and prevention, Syphilis, Mpox, Antibiotic Stewardship, Wastewater Surveillance, HIV Prevention, and Enhanced Barrier Precautions Precautions.
