Summer gardening program for 9 to 13 year olds at the MU Extension Center in Adair County-Kirksville. Participants learn how to grow a vegetable garden, while developing science, math and team building. Produce grown will be taken home by participants, and excess will be donated to a local food pantry. After working in the garden, participants will have a gardening lesson, followed by a lesson on food preparation where they will make a snack using garden produce. Toward the end of the program, participants will learn how to make pickles and salsa.

Register online, or in-person and pay by cash or check. Limited to the first 10 youth to register.

Cost: $40
