This program is designed to teach those individuals that are considering buying local meat. The program will focus on the following topics:

  • Finding local meat
  • Working with a processor
  • Meat terminology
  • What to expect to get when buying bulk meat (Whole or half)
  • What cuts are available from a carcass
  • How much storage space do I need
  • How long can I freeze it.

Some local producers will be there to answer questions.
