Join the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City at Watkins Woolen Mill State Park & Historic Site for the Spring on the Farm event. This event features historically-accurate 1870's era crafts, dresses, and demonstrations. The Extension Master Gardeners (EMGs) will be on-site at the beautiful kitchen garden, a garden planted and maintained by the EMGs. The kitchen garden features period-appropriate tools while growing heirloom vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. The EMGs will provide tours of the garden and will be available to answer any gardening questions. They will also host a special children's scavenger hunt and fun activity, where children can make a paper pot and plant seeds.
