Ready to make a difference in your community through gardening?

Join us for our Extension Garden Steward AmeriCorps Volunteer Open House, a 2-hour event designed to recruit and prepare volunteers for our Extension Garden Steward program.

This is your chance to learn about the program, discover your role in it, connect with fellow gardeners who share your passion, and get a tasty free meal!

Agenda:

Program Overview:

Learn how the Extension Garden Steward program empowers community members to grow healthy, thriving gardens. We'll cover topics like three-season gardening, integrated pest and pollinator management, and hands-on activities.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Find out exactly how you can contribute, from helping with hands-on activities to event setup and cleanup.

AmeriCorps Sign-Up:

We'll guide you through the required videos and the simple registration process to become an official AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteer.

Casual Brunch & Socializing:

Enjoy a relaxed meal and get to know other volunteers who are ready to cultivate their green thumbs for a good cause.

Event Details:

When: Saturday, 10/4, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
