4-H Recognition: Celebrating Growth, Achievement & Commitment
4-H is about more than completing projects—it’s about setting goals, learning new skills, serving others, and growing as a young person. Recognition provides an opportunity to celebrate those accomplishments and encourage youth to continue challenging themselves.
Missouri Recognition Forms
The Missouri Recognition Form (MRF) helps youth document their 4-H activities, experiences, accomplishments, and what they have learned throughout the 4-H year. Youth who complete an MRF and earn 80 points or more at the county level are eligible for regional judging. Regional winners may have opportunities to receive scholarships for 4-H Camp, Teen Conference, or State Congress, while Level 3 winners may also have the opportunity to interview for National 4-H Congress. Members who submit a Missouri Recognition Form receive a project and membership pin.
Project Records & Project Pins
Youth can also use Project Records to keep track of their work and accomplishments within individual projects. Members who submit a Project Record receive a project pin for each eligible project entry, providing another way to recognize their effort and growth.
Years of Membership
We celebrate youth for their commitment to 4-H by recognizing their years of membership. Whether a member is completing their first year or has been involved for many years, every year represents new experiences, skills, friendships, and growth.
Volunteer Recognition
4-H volunteers are an essential part of the program. Volunteers serve as club leaders, project leaders, mentors, transportation providers, cheerleaders, and much more. Volunteers who complete the Missouri 4-H Volunteer Application Process are recognized for milestone years of service, including their 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th years.
Recognition is not simply about awards—it’s about celebrating the journey. Every project completed, goal achieved, skill learned, hour volunteered, and challenge overcome is an opportunity to Make the Best Better!
