Learn how to graft your own fruit trees in this fun and engaging hands-on workshop offered by MU Extension.
Grafting is done to provide good roots to a tasty fruit by combining a hardy rootstock with a desirable scion.
Every apple sold is from a grafted tree, and you can learn this technique yourself to grow the apple varieties you enjoy on a semi-dwarf or dwarf rootstock that will fit well into your landscape.
You will learn the concepts of grafting, and then practice these concepts during class. W
We provide the rootstocks and the scions, the supplies, and the tools, and you will take away two semidwarf apple trees.
