Description:
The 2025 Ellis Fischel Clinical Cancer Symposium aims to bring together healthcare professionals, bioethicists, researchers, and policymakers to explore the complex challenges arising in cancer care, research, and innovation. As oncology rapidly evolves with breakthroughs in precision medicine, artificial intelligence, and genetic therapies, this conference seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue that upholds human dignity, promotes equitable access to care, and ensures ethical integrity in clinical and research practices. Ethics-related material will be provided in collaboration with the MU Center for Health Ethics. Through keynote addresses, panel discussions, and sharing of lived experiences, we strive to develop actionable insights and frameworks that guide ethical decision-making in the face of technological and societal change.
