Community Health Engagement and Outreach is excited to bring to you the 2024 summer Rural Resilience Lecture Series this May, June, and July. The last lecture in the series will focus on building individual and community resilience as a strategy to prevent substance misuse. Guest lecturer Dr. Jerome Adams, Former U.S. Surgeon General, will discuss the interconnection between substance misuse prevention and resilience.

The goal of the series is to increase capacity for professionals and community-based organizations serving rural or marginalized communities to be responsive to behavioral health and substance misuse needs and provide prevention and resilience education to youth, adults, and communities.

The Rural Resilience Lecture Series is provided to you by the Rural Health Safety Education Show-Me Resilience grant. All fees associated with registration are supplemented through the grant.
