Community Health Engagement and Outreach is excited to bring to you the 2024 summer Rural Resilience Lecture Series this May, July, and August. The second lecture in the series will focus on opioid use prevention and substance use disorders. Guest lecturer, Heather Harlan, health program coordinator with the Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services and facilitator of the Boone County Overdose Response Coalition, will discuss the interconnection between opioid and substance use disorder prevention and resilience.

The goal of the series is to increase capacity for professionals and community-based organizations serving rural or marginalized communities to be responsive to behavioral health and substance misuse needs and provide prevention and resilience education to youth, adults, and communities.

The Rural Resilience Lecture Series is provided to you by the Rural Health Safety Education Show-Me Resilience grant. All fees associated with registration are supplemented through the grant.
