Laclede County
Congratulations to the following winners of the 2025 Laclede County Extension Youth in Agriculture Award
Joanna “JoJo” Broner — A dedicated 4-H member whose hard work and enthusiasm truly reflect the spirit of Laclede County agriculture.
Since 2017, JoJo has helped operate her family’s pumpkin patch while excelling in multiple 4-H projects — earning numerous Blue Ribbons, Best of Show honors, and top placements at the Laclede County, Ozark Empire, and Missouri State Fairs. Her commitment shines through projects in horse, poultry, foods, and archery, as well as in her leadership roles within the Country Kids 4-H Club.
JoJo’s passion for agriculture, community, and continuous learning makes her an outstanding representative of Missouri’s next generation of agricultural leaders.
Congratulations, JoJo!
Skyler Appleby — A lifelong 4-H member whose dedication, leadership, and passion for agriculture exemplify the best of Missouri youth.
Since beginning in 4-H at age five, Skyler has grown into a well-rounded leader with accomplishments spanning horse, beef, robotics, and veterinary science projects. Through twelve years of participation, Skyler has earned numerous honors — including Grand Champion Gelbvieh Bull and Grand Champion Senior Showmanship at the Missouri State Fair — and served in multiple leadership roles, including President of both the Laclede County 4-H Council and the Country Kids 4-H Club.
Skyler’s experiences in agriculture, from training horses to showing cattle and mentoring younger members, have built a foundation of confidence, responsibility, and compassion. Their commitment to learning, leadership, and service makes Skyler an outstanding representative of Missouri’s future in agriculture.
Congratulations, Skyler!
