General information

Coordinated by University of Missouri Extension and Engagement, the MU Integrated STEM Internship Program (ISIP) will host 5 Missouri students from various institutions. Interns will participate in on-campus research alongside an Extension faculty member and practical application of research around the state of Missouri alongside a regional Extension faculty member. Interns will also participate as a cohort in Leadership Online for Today - a virtual leadership program designed to enhance leadership skills. They will be coached through this experience by a University of Missouri Extension and Engagement faculty member with expertise in the field of leadership.

This internship runs from May 30–July 28, 2023. It will start and conclude at the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, Missouri. Interns will spend four weeks of the internship working with a regional Extension faculty member, so they may be living elsewhere during that time. Students will receive $500 per week ($4500 total), plus travel expenses, campus parking and a stipend for housing and food. Interns may choose to be housed in dormitories on the MU campus or live off campus if they prefer.
