Private Pesticide Applicator Training is in Osage County on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 6-9pm.

Osage County Extension will hold Private Pesticide Applicator Training (PPAT) on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Osage County Extension Center in the Commissioners room. Training begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. The training is open to anyone with an expiring private applicators license and all those 18 years or older growing agricultural products and needing to use, supervise or buy Restricted Use Pesticides (RUP) for their farm or lands they farm.

Individual or small group PPAT sessions via DVD can be arranged during regular business hours at the Osage County Extension Center. Allow enough time to complete the training before closing.

New regulations require all new and recertifying private pesticide applicators to have or purchase a copy of, M87– Private Pesticide Applicator Reference Manual ($12.00) for a reference at the class and during the 5 years until their license expires. Anyone already owning a copy will not need to purchase a new copy. One copy per family or farming unit is acceptable. Older manuals, M86 or EC934 are acceptable.
