University of Missouri Extension’s third annual Sheep & Goat Field Day is set for Thursday, July 31, in Mount Vernon.
“The event provides an excellent opportunity for sheep and goat producers, and anyone interested in diversifying their farm with small ruminants, to learn, connect and engage,” said David Brown, MU Extension small ruminant specialist.
This year’s program includes hands-on demonstrations and expert-led presentations. Key highlights are a live virtual fencing demonstration, allowing participants to use an app to create fencing boundaries in real time, and “Ask the Veterinarian” live Q&A, which offers producers a chance to engage directly with veterinary experts.
The event is 10 a.m-4 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at the MU Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center, 14548 State Road H, Mount Vernon.
