The Madison County Extension Council meets at the Extension Center at 6 pm on the first Monday of the month. There will not be a meeting in July.

Our office will be closed Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.

Back to School Fair 2013

The 2012-2013 school year has come to an end.  We are already making plans for the 2013 Back to School Fair and supply project.  Again this year we will be working with the Madison County Caring Council to coordinate the fair.  Last year over 500 local children were served.  If you would like to participate by donating needed items, time or participating in the $1 flyer campaign please contact our office at 783-3303.  If you need a Back To School Fair registration form, click here to download the form.

Dig into Healthy Eating

Looking for fun and inexpensive activities for children this summer? University of Missouri Extension introduces the ‘Dig into Healthy Eating’ Program located in your local library. The program is part of the Family Nutrition Education Program and is FREE to all participates.  Dig into Healthy Eating is for ages 2-12 and includes an opportunity for kids to sit and listen to a story followed by a fun activity. Overall the program is here to help encourage and educate children in making healthy food choices. Dig into Healthy Eating starts June 12 at 1:00 pm in the Ozark Regional Library Conference Room located in Fredericktown, MO. For more information please contact Michelle Boillot, Madison County’s Nutrition Program Assistant @ 573-783-3303.  The remaining summer dates are June 12, 19, 26 and July 3, 10, 17, 31.  Each session will begin at 1 pm.
