Missouri's forests and woodlands occupy approximately one-third (15.2 million acres) of the Show-Me State, contributing to health soil and streams, improving air quality, providing critical wildlife habitat, supporting a 10.3-billion-dollar forest products industry, and giving all Missourians places to relax and recreate.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of those 15.2 million acres are privately owned. Unfortunately, Missouri's woodlands are facing numerous threats and woodland owners can no longer afford to "do nothing" with them. Explore this website to learn more about the care and management of your woodlands. 

Missouri Woodland Steward

Missouri Woodland Steward is a natural resource education program that helps woodland owners feel competent and connected. Through webinars, in-person workshops and field days, you can learn how to:
