Extension Winter Beef Dinner Meeting

The Maries County Extension Office will be hosting the Winter Beef Dinner Meeting on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Farmer's Cafe', South Central Livestock on Hwy 42 in Vienna, MO. The event is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. The Program is on the Importance of Shedding for Summer Cattle Performance: presented by Ted Cunningham, Livestock Specialist, Beef Nutrition and Hay Ring Research, presented by Justin Sexten, State Beef Specialist.

Cost is $5 per person includes meal sponsered by Maries County Bank and South Central Livestock Market.

Reservations must be made by February 27, 2014 by call the Maries County Extension Office at 573-422-3359, ext 125. Seating is limited so call early for your reservation.

 

Government Day

Maries County Extension will be hosting Government Day for the Maries County Schools on May 5, 2014.

 

Century Farm Applications

Century Farm Applications are now available online or in the Maries County Extension office. There is a $65.00 fee which includes: processing costs, one certificate, a booklet and one two-sided metal sign for each approved farm.

Deadline for filing applications is May 1, 2014 for this years applicants.
