Winter Grazing Workshop
This workshop is designed to teach and demonstrate the benefits of grazing stockpiled fescue during the winter months. Workshop is from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Friday, February 10, 2012 at the MU Wurdack Farm in Cook Station, MO. Cost is $20 per person and includes a hot lunch, snacks, and handout materials. Heifer Development ITV
February 20, 2012 at 6pm at the Salem TCRC in the Freedom Activity Center (Armory Bldg). Speakers include Dr. Dave Patterson, State Extension Specialist Beef Reproduction, and Dr. Justin Sexten, State Extension Specialist Beef Nutrition. Topics covered on developing beef heifers will include: reproductive management for developing beef replacement heifers, nutritional and management considerations for heifer development, and opportunities for adding value to bred heifers through the Show-Me-Select Replacement Heifer Development Program.
