The staff of the Carter County Extension Center is available to assist county residents with research-based information on a variety of topics. If you can't find what you are looking for on the MU Extension website, please call our office at 573-323-4418 or send us an email at carterco@missouri.edu.

Office operating hours are Monday, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m, Tuesday and Thursday 8am to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday and Friday Noon to 4:30 p.m.

Elections were recently held for Carter County Extension Council!

Those elected are: Diana Blakemore, Sherilyn Clark, Linda Grubb, Jeanette Heavin and Alan Snider.

Does your family own a Century Farm?

4H Schedule of Activities

Fishing Day at Miller Lake with Dale Kipp - Saturday July 20th from 8:30am – 2:00pm                                       Dale will offer instruction and fishing tips followed by fishing for all participants.  All fishing poles, artificial bates, worms, etc. will be provided (Feel free to bring your own pole and equipment if you would like).  Lunch will also be provided. 

 

Shooting Sports Day with Oregon County August 3rd at the Rover Gun Club in Rover Missouri.  We will meet at the VB Nutrition Center at 8:30am to coordinate rides.  The shoot will be from 10:00am-12 noon.  We will shoot pistol, archery and trap.  Lunch will be provided.

 

Ellsinore 4-H club meeting – Ellsinore 4-H meets each 3rd Thursday (July 18) of the month from 6pm – 7:30pm at the Ellsinore FEMA Bldg. 

 

Horsemanship – There will no longer be any horsemanship
