Annual Cape Girardeau County Extension Council Scholarship Applications now available - Due by July 15, 2016

All applicants must be Cape Girardeau County residents and meet one of the following criteria:  Graduated from a Cape Girardeau County High School, Graduated from an adjoining school district outside Cape Girardeau County while living in Cape Girardeau County or obtained a GED while living in Cape Girardeau County.   Must have a minimum of 60 hours of college level course work towards an undergraduate degree along with other requisites.  See the Complete requisites and download the Application.   Return completed applications to the University of Missouri Extension Center, 684 W. Jackson Trail or P.O. Box 408, Jackson, MO.


YOUTH Mental Health First Aid - Free Program September 22 and 29; 5pm to 9 pm each evening.

This public education program is focused on equipping adults who work with youth (ages 12 -18) who may be experiencing a mental health challenge or in a crisis.  All participants will receive a certificate for 8 contact hours. 


Building Strong Families

Mondays, September 26 and October 3,10,17, 24, 5:45 pm to 7:45 p.m. at the Extension Center, 684 W. Jackson Trail, Jackson, MO. Grandparent Support Group

The Grandparent Support Group, for grandparents raising children, meets monthly (with a summer break until August)  at the Cape Girardeau County Extension Center, 684 W. Jackson Trail, in Jackson.
