Volunteers are vital to the success of our festival!
Want to volunteer at the 2020 festival? Or bring your group to volunteer?
Please sign up to volunteer.
We welcome volunteers before, during and after the festival to help in a number of ways including site coordination, event set-up and tear-down, registration, communications, marketing and miscellaneous help. Volunteers are required to sign up for a minimum of 4 hours.
Your gift will ensure this festival continues to grow. Funds will be used to bring in additional acclaimed storytellers and increase the number of venues. Your support will ensure that the cost to attendees remains free or minimal so people can continue to learn and be entertained through this special event.
To make a tax-deductible gift or donation:
- Visit the Give Direct page.
- Call 314-266-4833 to donate or to inquire about employer matching through your workplace.
- Mail a check, made out to "University of Missouri Extension," to: MU Extension, Office of Advancement–St. Louis Storytelling Festival, 109 Whitten Hall Columbia, MO 65211
Accomplished and experienced regional storytellers perform at various sites, including schools and libraries, parks, historic sites, museums and other locations for a variety of ages. Regional storytellers apply, and if accepted, are paid per session. The deadline for 2020 Festival Regional Storyteller applications has passed. If you’d like to be considered for future Festivals or events, please email Lisa Overholser or call 314-266-4833.

Schools and other groups can sign up to participate in the Festival by having a teller at their site, or scheduling a Field Trip to one of our Festival events. You can download the sign-up form, or contact Lisa Overholser or call 314-266-4833.
