Help us increase the scope of the festival. With your support, we can bring in additional acclaimed storytellers at more venues and ensure the community can continue to learn and be entertained through this special opportunity, free or for a minimal charge.
We hope you enjoyed the St. Louis Storytelling Festival's very first MINI DECEMBER FEST.
2020 has been an unusual year, and to highlight some of the great Featured Storytellers we had lined up, we presented a FREE virtual program, with lots of offerings for ALL ages. Storytellers included Willy Claflin, Tim Tingle, Carolina Storyteller, and for the very first time at our Festival, Queen Nur. Later Tales for Adults featured each storyteller presenting a solo show in the evenings. As a reminder, the Stories for Youth programs are available to those who registered for the event for viewing on the MU Extension Community Arts YouTube page for one week. We had a Showcase Performance with all four storytellers together. And as a special treat, the Family Storytelling Workshop helped you learn how to collect and pass on those treasured family stories over the holidays! The second part of this workshop, for registered participants, will happen in January 2021.
In the meantime, check out the digital performance piece by Queen Nur, “Ours To Carry”, on our YouTube page. This piece was commissioned by the St. Louis Storytelling Festival and the Gateway Arch National Park as part of their Voting Rights Videos.
