The Missouri College Advising Corps (MCAC), headquartered at MU, will hire recent graduates from any institution to serve as full-time, near-peer College Advisers in underserved high schools in Kansas City, Springfield, Saint Louis and South Missouri. Advisers are full-time AmeriCorps members and assist first-generation-college, low-income and underrepresented students and their families with navigating the college planning, admissions, and financing processes with the ultimate goal of increasing college-going rates in MCAC partner schools.

MCAC is a two-year commitment and a great full-time job opportunity for recent graduates, especially those interested in serving their community, the field of education, counseling or going on to graduate school.

This is an amazing opportunity and a unique first-time professional experience where advisers create lasting relationships with fellow advisers and university personnel and help under-served high school students in Missouri to realize their college dreams!

Email MCAC or call 573-882-2661 for more information.

AmeriCorps members help communities tackle pressing problems while mobilizing millions of volunteers for the organizations they serve. AmeriCorps is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, a federal agency that engages millions of Americans in service through its AmeriCorps, Senior Corps, Social Innovation Fund, and Volunteer Generation Fund programs, and leads the President's national call to service initiative, United We Serve.
