Travis is a multimedia specialist for the University of Missouri Fire and Rescue Training Institute (MU FRTI). He currently manages and designs strategic communication campaigns involving a variety of distribution methods and approaches. These campaigns often include designing and distributing printed publications such as brochures, flyers, posters, illustrations and catalogs. Printed materials in coordination with social media posts and email newsletters help MU FRTI reach a broad section of emergency services professionals. Travis also photographs and films MU FRTI events and personnel along with editing photos and videos. Posting these forms of media help build a stronger online brand across all campaigns. He also aids in maintaining and organizing current and accurate content that is posted on mufrti.org. Other areas of work include contributing when updating course curriculum packages for the institute's faculty and students and helping with merchandise and promotional items.
Travis has been with the MU Fire and Rescue Training Institute since January of 2008. He was hired while working as a graphic designer locally in Columbia, Missouri. He gained experience and worked on numerous commercial publications in the areas of real estate, automotive sales, and various promotions. He also sharpened his communication and design skills through freelance work at that time. He continues to enjoy all things related to design today."
