Professional background

Dr. Scott is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a founding Director of the Data Science and Analytics Master’s Degree program at the University of Missouri (MU). He has participated in research projects for the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Defense (DoD), NGA, DIA, Army, Air Force, Army ERDC, NRL, NRO, and DARPA. He is currently mentoring or leading research projects in several areas including data science, machine learning, computer vision, multi-modal analytics, high-performance computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and geospatial analytics.
