Surface Water Rescue and Swiftwater Rescue - CR22180 & CR22181

Description

These two courses are designed to prepare emergency response personnel to perform rescue operations in moving water emergencies. Topics include pre-planning, personal protective equipment, search parameters, incident action plans, surface rescue techniques, advanced rope systems in the aquatic environment, and use of watercraft and helicopters in water rescue operations. Students will participate in moving water exercises to demonstrate proficiency in appropriate skills. 

These two courses have been combined in this delivery to train participants to the Surface Water Rescue, Technician; and the Swiftwater Rescue, Technician, according to NFPA 1006, 2017 Ed.
