Supervisory Certificate Series

Description

As a front-line supervisor, your job is about getting work done through other people. Whether you’re new to the role or looking for a refreshing perspective to achieve new results, this series is for you. It includes 16 hours of interactive virtual workshops, the CliftonStrengths 34 assessment, and a live cohort check-in.

Join the same group of supervisors each week as you journey through the following sessions:

November 8: Understanding Yourself (12:30 PM - 4:30 PM)

This dynamic workshop provides supervisors insight into their individual strengths and talents to assist them in effectively balancing their roles and responsibilities. Through this expanded knowledge, supervisors will be able to build trust while providing the appropriate guidance and support to their team.

Note: Participants are required to take Gallup’s CliftonStrengths 34 assessment prior to this session and bring their report with them to Day 1.

November 9: Building Relationships (8:30 AM - 12: 30 PM)

Being intentional about building connections with employees is vital to any supervisor’s success. In this interactive workshop supervisors will establish the foundation for developing strong, effective relationships in order to enhance their supervisory credibility and build a productive workplace.

November 13: Communication & Conflict (12:30 PM - 4:30 PM)

In today’s fast-paced business environment, successful communication requires more than just speaking your mind loudly enough for others to hear you. This workshop will sharpen verbal communication skills to maximize understanding and promote healthy conflict resolution. Supervisors will learn what their role is when managing conflict among employees and ultimately improve relationships on the team.

November 14: Setting Expectations & Coaching (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

The final day of the series, will be a culmination of skills learned. The workshop will provide supervisors with the coaching tools needed to motivate, delegate, and diagnose performance problems so that employees thrive and achieve results.
