Stay Strong, Stay Healthy - Level 1 - Online - Urban East
Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) program is designed to increase independent living older adults’ access to a safe, structured, and effective strength-training program. Over eight weeks, participants learn exercises to improve strength, flexibility and balance. At each class, a prescribed set of eight upper and lower body strengthening exercises are completed along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health.
This class will be held 100% virtually via the platform Zoom. Participants will need weights and can either purchase their own or check them out from either the Kirkwood or St. Peters Extension Offices. Participants will need to be able to have video capabilities for this class for safety reasons.
Pre-Registration Required. Contact Allene Gremaud at the St. Charles County Extension Office at 636.970.3000 or via email at [email protected].
