PPCT Defensive Tactics & HFRG Threat Pattern Recognition Instructor Recertification Seminar
Assaults against on-duty law enforcement officers have steadily increased, and every officer is faced with the prospect of being seriously assaulted. Because of this ever-present threat, all law enforcement officers need a valid, defensible system for controlling hostile subjects and, at the same time, protecting themselves against assault.
A copy of your prior instructor certification must be faxed or mailed to LETI before your registration will be complete.
In this seminar, you’ll be recertified as an instructor in the Pressure Point Control Tactics (PPCT) Defensive Tactics System, which has been recognized as the world’s leading nonlethal subject control system.
Topics will include the following:
• Analyzing use of force
• Control concepts
• Pressure point control
• Impact weapon systems
• Active countermeasures
• Other defensive tactics disciplines
Equipment: Bring handcuffs with keys and duty leather. Dress in comfortable clothing that is suitable for intense physical exercises.
Instructor: Adam Duncan is the Director of Training for Northstar Training Group. He has 20 years of Law Enforcement experience. He served as the Academy Coordinator and Assistant Director, as well as serving as the primary Use of Force Instructor, at the Law Enforcement Training Institute prior to launching Northstar in 2017. His academic background is in Psychology and Counseling. In addition to Safety and Security Consulting and Training, Adam provides Counseling, Mediation, and Critical Incident Debriefing. His passion is answering the “Why” questions surrounding violent encounters and police use of force incidents.

Full refunds will be accommodated up to five working days prior to seminars. Cancellations five business day before the start of class or no-shows will be subject to a 20-percent service charge regardless of payment type.
