Update on Mental Health Parity Laws | US Department of Labor

Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month and that there were recent changes to federal mental health laws?  Do you understand your possible rights as an employee or your potential obligations as an employer?  Join the May Labor Law where the UD Department of Labor will cover federal Mental Health Parity laws (e.g. MHPAEA), and will discuss the requirements of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. Senior Investigator Brooke Schmit from the Employee Benefits Security Administration’s (EBSA) Kansas City Regional Office will provide information designed to help employers, service providers, and benefit professionals understand how the provisions of MHPAEA apply to employer-sponsored group health plans and provide information on how to avoid common problems.
