Whether you are new to canning, or you just need a refresher on something you’ve been doing for years, University of Missouri Extension’s Food Preservation Series can help you preserve your produce safely and efficiently.

On October 19th, 10 am to 1 pm, a Home Water Bath Canning workshop will feature a lecture and hands on application of canning tomato salsa.

On October 19th, 2 pm to 5 pm, a Pressure Canning workshop will feature a lecture and hands on application of canning green beans.

All home food preservation supplies are provided.

The participation fee for either workshop is $25, or $40 to participated in both workshops.

Rachel O'Halloran is a Nutrition and Health Specialist for Gasconade County and a registered dietitian licensed in Missouri.
