Hay School at Wurdack Extension Farm

Description

Hay School is designed to train livestock producers who own their own hay equipment to improve their hay production skills. This program will help hay producers analyze their operation and find ways to increase their production and profitability. There will be discussion on all aspects of hay production including understanding and using hay tests, matching hay to livestock nutrition, soil fertility for hay fields, economics of hay production, hay storage and feeding management, forages for hay production, pest management, and hay and round bale silage harvest systems. Lunch and handout materials will be provided. Register online or by calling Dent County Extension office at 573-729-3196. $35 per person or $55 per farm couple
