From Supervisor to Leader: Taking the Next Step


This 3-day workshop is specifically designed for accomplished supervisors or managers looking to move into leadership positions.  You must have taken our Supervisory Certificate Series and had 3 years of supervisory/management experience or have at least 5-7 years of actual supervisory/management experience.  

All sessions start at 8:30 AM and go until 12:30 PM

Day 1 (Aug. 16): From the Inside Out:

• Explore the role of emotional intelligence in engaging and leading others.   For the benefit of the team and organization, it is imperative that leaders become intentional in building relationships - igniting passion, enthusiasm, and commitment from others. 

• Participants will take the EQ-i 2.0 assessment and explore personalized results strategies to boost emotional intelligence when leading others.    

Day 2 (Aug. 23): Influencing Others:

• Title and authority aren’t always what it takes to get things done.  Leadership is a ‘people’ business.  Leaders need credibility built on a foundation of trust and expertise.  

• This session will explore the value of creating a safe environment where people are engaged, innovative, accountable, and working toward a shared vision where they feel valued and heard. 

Day 3 (Aug. 30): Making Effective and Lasting Change:

• Leaders lead to affect change.  However, managing the transition people go through when faced with organizational change can be a perplexing and daunting undertaking.   

• This session will explore the steps leaders take to guide their teams through effective change while creating and maintaining a culture of innovation in a climate that’s sustainable, open, trusting, and future focused.
